Introductie

Deze algemene voorwaarden zijn van toepassing op het gebruik van de website van Verellen Law, inclusief het boeken van online consultaties. Door gebruik te maken van deze website en de aangeboden diensten, gaat u akkoord met deze voorwaarden.

Let op: bij het openen van een dossier wordt steeds een afzonderlijke overeenkomst gesloten tussen de cliënt en de advocaat. Die overeenkomst bevat specifieke afspraken over de aard van de dienstverlening, de kosten en de verdere samenwerking. De onderstaande voorwaarden hebben uitsluitend betrekking op het gebruik van de website en de online consultaties.

1. Inleiding

Door een online consultatie te boeken via deze website, gaat u (de "Cliënt") akkoord met de volgende voorwaarden. Lees deze voorwaarden zorgvuldig door voordat u verdergaat met uw boeking. Indien u niet akkoord gaat met een deel van deze voorwaarden, ga dan niet verder met de boeking.

2. Reikwijdte van de Consultatie

De online consultatie die wordt aangeboden is een gesprek van 45 minuten, bedoeld voor een eerste en basis juridische beoordeling van uw situatie. Deze consultatie is niet bedoeld als een uitgebreide juridische advies sessie, maar eerder als een inleidend gesprek om u te helpen potentiële juridische kwesties en opties te begrijpen.

3. Beperkingen van de Dienst

De juridische beoordeling die tijdens de consultatie wordt gegeven, is gebaseerd op de informatie die u verstrekt. De nauwkeurigheid en volledigheid van de beoordeling hangen af van de juistheid en volledigheid van de door u verstrekte gegevens.

De consultatie kan niet elke mogelijke juridische kwestie met betrekking tot uw situatie behandelen. Verdere analyse of vervolgconsultaties kunnen nodig zijn voor een grondige juridische beoordeling.

Indien tijdens de consultatie geen direct antwoord kan worden gegeven op uw vraag, behoudt de advocaat zich het recht voor om aanvullend onderzoek te doen en een vervolgantwoord via e-mail te verstrekken. Hiervoor worden geen extra kosten aangerekend.

4. Geen Advocaat-Cliënt Relatie

De online consultatie vormt geen advocaat-cliënt relatie. Een dergelijke relatie komt pas tot stand indien en wanneer een formele overeenkomst wordt ondertekend voor juridische vertegenwoordiging die verder gaat dan de initiële consultatie.

De informatie en meningen die tijdens de consultatie worden gedeeld, mogen niet worden beschouwd als juridisch advies dat bindende verplichtingen creëert voor de advocaat.

5. Vertrouwelijkheid

Alle informatie die tijdens de consultatie wordt gedeeld, wordt strikt vertrouwelijk behandeld en verwerkt in overeenstemming met de privacyverklaring van Verellen Law, beschikbaar via: https://verellenlaw.com/privacy-statement.

Houd er echter rekening mee dat de veiligheid van elektronische communicatie niet volledig kan worden gegarandeerd. Cliënten wordt geadviseerd om geen uiterst gevoelige of vertrouwelijke informatie te delen tijdens de online consultatie.

6. Betaling

Het honorarium voor de online consultatie is verschuldigd op het moment van boeking. De boeking wordt pas bevestigd na succesvolle betaling. Het betaalde bedrag is niet terugbetaalbaar, behalve wanneer de consultatie door de advocaat wordt geannuleerd.

7. Verzetten en Annuleringen

Cliënten kunnen hun consultatie verzetten mits zij dit minstens 24 uur op voorhand melden. Verzoeken tot verzetten die minder dan 24 uur voor de afspraak worden gedaan, kunnen worden geweigerd of aanleiding geven tot bijkomende kosten.

Indien de advocaat de consultatie moet annuleren of verzetten, wordt de cliënt zo spoedig mogelijk op de hoogte gebracht. In dat geval wordt een volledige terugbetaling of een nieuwe afspraak aangeboden.

8. Aansprakelijkheid

De advocaat is niet aansprakelijk voor enige directe, indirecte, incidentele of gevolgschade die voortvloeit uit het gebruik van de online consultatiedienst, met inbegrip van eventuele fouten of onvolledigheden in de verstrekte informatie.

9. Toepasselijk Recht

Deze voorwaarden worden beheerst door en geïnterpreteerd in overeenstemming met het Belgisch recht. Eventuele geschillen die voortvloeien uit of verband houden met deze voorwaarden vallen onder de exclusieve bevoegdheid van de rechtbanken van België, afdeling Antwerpen.

10. Wijzigingen

De advocaat behoudt zich het recht voor om deze voorwaarden op elk moment te wijzigen. Cliënten worden voorafgaand aan hun consultatie op de hoogte gebracht van eventuele wijzigingen.

Please note: when opening a case file, a separate agreement is always concluded between the client and the lawyer. The terms below apply exclusively to the use of the website and online consultations.

1. Booking Agreement

By booking an online consultation through this website, you (the "Client") agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read these terms carefully before proceeding with your booking. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, do not proceed with the booking.

2. Scope of the Consultation

The online consultation offered is a 45-minute conversation intended for an initial and basic legal assessment of your situation. This consultation is not intended to serve as a comprehensive legal advice session, but rather as an introductory discussion to help you understand potential legal issues and options.

3. Limitations of the Service

The legal assessment provided during the consultation is based on the information you provide. The accuracy and completeness of the assessment depend on the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide.

The consultation may not address every possible legal issue related to your situation. Further analysis or follow-up consultations may be required for a thorough legal evaluation.

If an immediate answer cannot be provided during the consultation, the lawyer reserves the right to conduct additional research and provide a follow-up response via email. No additional fee will be charged for this follow-up.

4. No Attorney-Client Relationship

The online consultation does not establish an attorney-client relationship. Such a relationship will only be established if and when a formal agreement is signed for legal representation beyond the initial consultation.

The information and opinions shared during the consultation should not be considered legal advice that creates any binding legal obligations on the lawyer.

5. Confidentiality

All information shared during the consultation will be treated with strict confidentiality and in accordance with Verellen Law’s privacy statement, available at: https://verellenlaw.com/privacy-statement.

However, please note that the security of electronic communications cannot be fully guaranteed. Clients are advised not to share highly sensitive or confidential information during the online consultation.

6. Payment

The fee for the online consultation is payable at the time of booking. The booking will only be confirmed upon successful payment. The fee is non-refundable, except in cases where the consultation is canceled by the lawyer.

7. Rescheduling and Cancellations

Clients may reschedule their consultation with at least 24 hours’ notice. Requests to reschedule made less than 24 hours before the appointment may be denied or subject to additional fees.

If the lawyer needs to cancel or reschedule the consultation for any reason, the client will be notified as soon as possible. In such cases, a full refund or a new appointment will be offered.

8. Liability

The lawyer is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the online consultation service, including any errors or omissions in the information provided.

9. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Belgium. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Belgium, district of Antwerp.

10. Amendments

The lawyer reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Clients will be informed of any changes prior to their consultation.
